English Afternoon

The best part of the day must be spent sipping this favorite afternoon blend. This sparkling, coppery-red tea is a combination of select Indian, Ceylon and Kenyan black teas. And if that's not enough, a touch of Bergamot tickles the palette for the most English of brews. Bake a fresh batch of warm scones and sip and scoff the afternoon away. Add a slice of lemon to this tea, if preferred.

The quality of water used as an impact on the quality of the tea. Always use freshly drawn water or filtered water. Heat water to the recommended temperature using an electric hot water heater or a stove top kettle.

Heat fresh water to a rolling boil or to a temperature of 212F.

Infusion Time
Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately over the tea bag. Keep the teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 5 minutes. When the tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea and lightly stir.
This black tea has more caffeine than teas in our green tea range. It's important to keep in mind that brew time accounts for the primary influence over a tea's caffeine content.

I found this tea by accident but I loved the taste of it. Best tea. For this tea, I do not have to use sweetener. The favor is naturally sweet. I have been loving every sip of it.

This is the first Ahmad Tea I've tired and I'm blown away. Besides the fact that I'm generally a coffee drinker (espresso especially) on the occasions I drink black tea, I have always favored English Breakfast for it's kick and robust but not bitter taste, but the English Afternoon Tea is intoxicatingly aromatic. It tastes rich and completely different than anything I've ever tasted, whether I drink it plain, sweetened or with cream... yes it tastes fantastic with cream. Next I'll try it with lemon. My hat's off to Ahmhad Tea for this fantastic, obviously meticulous blend that has delighted me. Never was this excited about tea since I first tasted Thai Ice Tea 23 years ago. I'm sure if any of the ingredients were removed the sheer magic of it would be lost. I can't believe I'm going on and on like this about TEA! Peace Out

    Afternoon's the BEST EVER!!
By Diana on August 27, 2015

Decades ago a friend brought me a sampler of Ahmad Teas. I liked the English Afternoon most and have learned to love it like no other. It's a perfect morning beverage when coffee doesn't appeal.

    Distinctive taste
By Hayley on September 23, 2014

To me this tea is a nice middle point between English Breakfast and Earl Grey with a really distinctive taste. I really enjoy it with a splash of milk but I can imagine it would also be nice with a slice of lemon instead.

By far me most favourite tea!
By Laurie on September 22, 2014

I look forward to my cup of English Afternoon Tea not just in the afternoon I drink it every chance I get. I have had other English Afternoon Teas but none compare to the exquisite flavour of Ahmad's English Afternoon Tea. I have had other teas by Ahmad and they are also wonderful, not bitter in the least...and I love a strong cup of tea.
Thank-you Ahmad for making my tea time perfect each day!
