English Breakfast Loose Leaf Tea bag

Wake up every morning in England, with this quintessential, full-bodied, black tea - a blend of malty Assam, bright Ceylon and robust Kenyan teas. Enjoy this 'British cuppa' with milk and sugar to compliment your breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.
Black tea
The quality of water used as an impact on the quality of the tea. Always use freshly drawn water or filtered water. Heat water to the recommended temperature using an electric hot water heater or a stove top kettle.

Heat fresh water to rolling boil or to a temperature of 212F.

Loose Leaf
Use the infuser of your choice. Measure 1 teaspoon of tea per person. For a stronger brew preference, add an additional teaspoon for the pot.

Infusion Time
Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately over the tea leaves. Keep the teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 5-7 minutes. When the tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea and lightly stir.
This black tea has more caffeine than teas in our green tea range. It's important to keep in mind that brew time accounts for the primary influence over a tea's caffeine content.

    Good tea
    By M on January 1, 2020

I have enjoyed this tea very much. I wish it was available in large, paper packaging as I drink English Breakfast everyday and don't want to have so many tins. This is a good choice for English Breakfast lovers.

A good "Wake Me Up" flavor for any time of day of the week. The strength of this black tea can be adjusted to suit your taste buds. There is nothing anymore refreshing than brewing your own tea in the comfort of your home. This is a very satisfying tea.

    Ahmad English Breakfast Tea
    By S. Burroughs on January 1, 2019

I lived for 3 years in northwest England and Wales. It took me quite some time to find a tea as good as the ones I experienced while living in the land of awesome teas. So glad I finally found this in Ahmad English Breakfast loose tea. Thanks for a great product!

    Good tea, reasonable price
    By P.T.M on December 20, 2018

My regular grocer was out of this product for several weeks (and only carried it in tins half the size of this 200g tin). I went to Ahmad on-line and was pleased to be able to order 5 200g tins for effectively about 10% more than the grocer's price). Ordering enough to cover free shipping really helped and I'll do it again. This is a solid black loose tea--I only make proper tea--and the quality and flavor are excellent. I recommend this product if you make proper tea--no tea bag stuff!

    Not what I expected
By Beth Calvo on October 24, 2018

I used to love Ahmad tea. Hadn't had it in a while. This dark, loose tea is very strong, which is fine. It only needs a level teaspoon per large cup, and brews up quickly. The flavor, however, is lacking something. It tastes a bit "cooked out." Maybe it's old tea.

From Ahmad Tea: Thank you for your feedback. All of our teas have a shelf life of 3 years after they are packed, and we always want our fans to enjoy the freshest, best-tasting teas. If you have received tea from us that is not fresh, please let us know and we'd be happy to send you a fresh tin. Our English Breakfast was recently named the best English Breakfast tea when taste-tested against six other brands.

This is a wonderful tea - warm and toasty. Every time I drink it, I feel like I'm in London having breakfast or afternoon tea at a luxury hotel!

I love this loose tea. As far as I am concerned, you have never had a good cup of tea until you try loose tea. More than a five star for me.
